Responsibilities: Translation of Medical Documents: Translate medical documents, including patient records, prescriptions, and instructional materials, ensuring accuracy and maintaining confidentiality. Interpretation Services: Provide on-site or remote interpretation services during medical appointments, ensuring clear communication between healthcare providers and patients. Cultural Sensitivity: Demonstrate a deep understanding of cultural nuances to convey medical information in a sensitive and comprehensible manner, fostering trust and rapport. Collaboration with Healthcare Teams: Collaborate with medical professionals, nurses, and administrative staff to support seamless communication in a multicultural healthcare environment. Patient Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for patients with limited English proficiency, ensuring their understanding of medical procedures, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Continued Professional Development: Stay updated on medical advancements and changes in healthcare terminology to maintain a high level of accuracy in translations and interpretations. Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and standards, including patient confidentiality and privacy laws.
