We are continuing to build our team by adding a Frontend Software Engineer to our Software Development team in Baindt. Summary: Seeking experienced Fullstack Software Engineer for design, develop, delivery and support of our software suite for to the public transport industry (bus and rail). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Developing front end website applications. Developing back end website applications. Ensuring cross-platform optimizations Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications. Seeing through a project from conception to finished product. Designing and developing APIs. Meeting both technical and consumer needs. Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages Create documentation while educating others. Preferred Experience: Proficiency with fundamental front end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Web server technologies like Node.js, J2EE, Apache, Nginx etc. Web Scalability - Highly available architectures - load balancing, scale out Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests Experience with Event Driven architecture using Kafka or MQTT Experience with Linux as development and hosting environment Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and deployment strategies FE testing tools like Cypress Experience with design and construction of REST API Code Quality, Testing, Resiliency Patterns, Observability (Monitoring, Tracing, Logging, Alerting) Source control with Git, and code hosts such as Github Knowledge Azure Cloud Knowledge of containerization with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus Understanding of Cloud Native applications and fundamentals around building them.
