Your Job As a Mechanical Test Engineer - Product Development (m,f,d) you will be a part of our engineering validation team at Molex VAS (Vehicle Antenna Systems) Hildesheim. In this role you will support our validation team by planning and performing various tests on our products according to customer requirements, you will be in close contact with internal and external stakeholders, and you will also be involved in improvement projects. Our Team Our Molex Validation team in Hildesheim is an active partner of the automotive industry. You will become part of a collaborative team, which is open and respectful. What You Will Do * Create Validation Test Plans aligned with the Customer (OEM) Specification. * Develop and design internal testing methods, devices, test fixtures and test setup to achieve customer and product requirements. * Execute DV (Design Validation) /PV (Product Validation), ensuring that milestone deliverables are met. * Work with internal and external suppliers to facilitate validation testing needs * Communicate validation testing activities status to internal and external customers regularly. * Create and manage databases for validation activities, including tracking tests, tracking results, and maintaining a validation SharePoint. * Review test lab reports from internal and external test labs. * Prepare and submit validation test reports and present test results to customers * Identify failures, file observations, and troubleshoot mechanical failures. * Work with cross functional team members to support root-cause analysis. * Analyze test results and the effect of material properties, geometry, and test conditions. * Analyze the various mechanical load conditions on the antenna components due to each test * Write test processes/instructions for the various customer product's specifications * Support Validation lab integration of technologies. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Degree in Mechanical Engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering or industrial engineering. * First experience in mechanical or electrical testing/ validation engineering * Understanding of mechanical engineering concepts including the behaviour of components under various static, impact, fatigue load, and thermal loads. * Fluent in written and spoken German & English What Will Put You Ahead * Experience in environmental testing would be beneficial. * Experience in EMC/ESD testing would be beneficial. * Advanced computer skills and knowledge of CAD (NX, Catia, and/or SolidWorks) would be beneficial. * Experience in automotive industry would be a plus. * Experience in RF Antenna area would be a plus.
