Key Responsibilities: * Develops and executes plans to improve and explore enhancement s of the chronic support system * Identifies and manages interactions with key vendors * Interacts with regulatory and quality to prepare next gen submission s and maintain quality standards * Lead s the development and realization of new ideas regarding existing and new products * Support s IP efforts * Support s preclinical work * Interacts with peers in cross functional teams * Oversees incident and root cause investigations * Manages the design review process * Reviews technical reports and other documents for distribution * Presents findings and provides updates on project status to R&D mechanical Engineering management * Guides junior colleagues through consultation and mentoring in techniques and processes and provides supervision Job Qualification: * Master's degree in mechanical o r biomedical engineering * Minimum 8 years of w orking experience in an engineering position of medical device development or similar * Preferably also business experience with the application of technical ceramics in medical applications * Profound medical device specific knowledge, Quality and Regulatory related constrains, ceramic processing and physical charachteristics * Spoken and written fluency in German, English at least on a conversational level
