Who we need We are hiring a Business Development Manager to join our global M&A team to support our accelerated growth strategy in Europe. You will manage our development efforts as we focus on expanding our presence across the DACH region. You will source, qualify, nurture, and manage a pipeline of acquisition opportunities. This is a remote work opportunity, ideally based in either Germany or Mallorca, with the ability to travel up to 30% of the time throughout the DACH region. There are opportunities to utilize our offices in Germany or be based out of our head office in Palma, Mallorca. Who you are You have a proven background in sales, with experience in corporate development, brokerage, or as a SaaS provider. With unyielding drive, ambition, and grit, you relentlessly pursue your leads. You are a master of relationship building, able to establish trust, rapport, and credibility with CEOs and Owner-Operators. Skilled in engaging decision-makers, you inspire ongoing communication and prompt responses. As both a hunter and a farmer, you continuously refine your approach to advance leads through the sales cycle. You are diligent, curious, personable, and self-directed. You will gain exposure as you expand our presence by building relationships directly with owner-operators, CEOs of private companies, brokers and corporate development departments of public companies. You will be part of a group of European and North American M&A peers. Growth. You will be supported in your immediate role and your career development with the chance to build out the team in the DACH region, increase your influence as you become more involved in the M&A process, or focus on expanding your skills and knowledge in company operations, depending on your background and aspirations. How you will make an impact: Lead generation. You will generate and engage a robust pipeline of acquisition targets in Salesforce, specifically within the DACH region. You will analyze the market, identify opportunities, qualify, and develop leads through cold calling, emailing, social media, and trade shows. Collaborate with Juniper business leaders. You will work closely with our Business Unit CEOs to identify strategic and complementary acquisition targets. You will gather, analyze, and present target company information to Juniper leadership. Build relationships. You will use a creative and engaging approach to prospect, initiate and nurture relationships with CEOs and owner-operators of private companies until they are ready to sell. You will apply research and active listening to ask meaningful questions that identify opportunities for our solutions. You will establish a network of M&A intermediaries (i.e., advisors, brokers, banks, etc.) and Private Equity/Venture Capital firms to source deals collaboratively with the goal of 5-8 signed Letters of Intent (LOIs) each year. You will bring: Sales expertise. You have a proven track record in M&A, PE, or VC deal sourcing. Or you may have extensive experience in enterprise SaaS sales, or business development in sell-side or buy-side advisory. You bring the drive and motivation to find and secure new leads and convert prospects. Relationship management experience. You understand the importance of prioritizing long-term relationships and have the skills to gain trust, build rapport and influence decision-makers such as senior executives, including CEOs of private companies. You are naturally curious and can formulate insightful questions to uncover potential opportunities. You can manage and overcome objections. People leadership. You have the ability to coach and motivate a team, offering guidance on business development processes and relationship building. You lead by example and demonstrate exemplary collaboration abilities at any level, within and across teams. You have the sales and relationship insights to draw on to guide a team and contribute to the growth strategy. Fluency in German and English. You have impactful, professional, and persuasive verbal and written skills. You can engage in highly strategic, commercial discussions with industry executives as Juniper's representative. Drive. You are a data-driven thinker who is outcome-obsessed and can proactively make independent decisions to move deals forward. You thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced, ambiguous environment and can quickly adapt to changes in the market or the organization’s goals. Flexibility. You are willing and able to travel approximately 20-30% of the time to meet with companies, network and attend trade shows. Join us.
