What you'll do As a Software Developer with experience as an IT System Administrator in Linux environment you will have a key role in delivering excellence to the users of HANA Cloud and other cloud solutions from SAP, with emphasis on Kubernetes clusters and specialized VM technology deployed to, AWS, GCP, and Azure. You will also assist our R&D with their development servers. You will be part of the Level-3/Delivery team that is responsible for SAP’s Production environment in the various Hyper-Scalers Key Duties & Responsibilities: Apply your experience with Linux, Bash, Docker, Kubernetes, helm, Grafana, and Jenkins. Streamlining Cloud processes through scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Go, and Jenkins. Implement knowledge of automation processes, tools, continuous integration, and continuous delivery. Regulate permissions, VM capacity, etc., on AWS, Azure, GCP accounts. Undertaking administrative tasks within Kubernetes clusters and Linux servers. Handling IT tasks for teams, resolving issues with developer servers, storage, backups, and networks on a higher-level topics such as nulls, secrets, technical users, build environments for C code. Weekend work will be required at times (maintenance windows, mostly); Shift work (after hours) also expected. What you bring Minimum of 3-4 years of proven experience as IT System Administrator. Strong knowledge of Linux SysAdmin, comprehensive experience with Linux in system management and development, including crontab, bash, core utilities, package managers, screen/tmux, grep, awk, sed, ssh, rsync. Experience with Bash, regex , Git , Python is a must (SQL is a plus). Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools such as VM, Docker, Kubernetes. Experience with CI/CD and version control tools, such as git, Jenkins/github-action and CI. An understanding of networking, system administration, and security principles. Proactivity with a positive approach. Work efficiently in a team, exhibiting excellent communication and collaboration skills.
