About the department The Finance & Operations department is responsible for running the company's finance and accounting operations. Our team works diligently to prepare, collect and interpret financial information, manage budgets and reports, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. We are a collaborative and dedicated team focused on providing accurate and timely financial information to support the success of Novo Nordisk. The position As Project Manager Accounting, you will be independently responsible for managing global projects that deal with the introduction, modification and implementation of ERP systems. You will also support the Finance & Operations department in the planning, organization and coordination of finance and accounting. In addition, your tasks are also: Implementation of SAP 4 HANA Close collaboration with the European NN Finance Network and supporting the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports Preparation of selected external and internal reports and assistance with the preparation of advance VAT (Value-added tax) returns and income tax returns Participation in external audits and contributing to the further development of accounting processes Spontaneous preparation of business analyses and taking on tasks in the area of business ethics compliance Qualifications Several years of professional experience in a comparable position at international companies or within an auditing firm Extensive experience in project management Confident handling of ERP systems (SAP 4 HANA) Knowledge of tax law and balance sheet security according to HGB and international accounting standards (IFRS) is an advantage Demonstrated fluency in English within an international setting, German language is preferred Working at Novo Nordisk – that means to be life-changing We are a proud life science company, and life is our raison d'être.
